SABRINA ROY
WELCOME TO MY TEACHING PORTFOLIO

ELA Lesson & Artifacts

I had the privilege of student teaching in a fourth-grade classroom at P.S. 65Q in Ozone Park. This teaching experience familiarized me with Teachers College Readers and Writers Workshop. This program taught me the importance of flexible grouping and student collaboration. Through turn and talks, small group discussions, and peer review, my students were able to build upon and expand their knowledge. I frequently pulled students that appeared to be struggling for individual or small group instruction. I also had the chance to use the GO! Math Curriculum as well as Algebra for All to help guide my instruction.
